Northop Wedding Photography – St Paul’s Church & Highfield Hall.

Today I had the pleasure of photographing Hayley and Mark’s wedding at St Paul’s Church, Gorsedd, Holywell and reception at Highfield Hall Hotel, Northop. The weather was absolutely glorious and the sun was shining all day.

My day started at Hayley and Marks home in New Brighton, near Mold. I arrived early to get pictures of the bridal party getting ready and to photograph all the little details that were important to the bride. It was also a good opportunity to get some shots of the Bride coming down the stairs and some casual shots of the bride, bridesmaids and the brides father in a relaxed environment.

After the bridal prep, I headed over to St Paul’s Church in Gorsedd to set up and to take some photographs of the groom and best man anticipating the brides arrival. It was nice to have a chat with the minister before the ceremony began, she was a lovely lady and was very helpful. It was a lovely ceremony and I managed to capture some candid moments in a beautiful setting. After the ceremony we headed outside for some group photographs on the church grounds.

We were greeted at Highfield Hall in Northop by the lovely staff and management and they really couldn’t do enough for the bride and groom. It is an excellent venue run by great people, they even helped me out setting up the big group shot, which I was very grateful for. Sometimes it is a bit of a nightmare trying to get a group of 50+ wedding guests all together in one place, when they really just want to be at the bar! After the group shots, we had an hour to get some shots of the bride and groom alone with the stunning hotel grounds as a backdrop. I really was spoilt for choice, as there are so many settings to choose from at Highfield.

The bride and groom then headed in for their wedding breakfast, which is a good opportunity for me to have a break and set up for the evening. The wedding breakfast was followed by the speeches and the best mans speech was one of the best I have ever heard, it left everyone crying with laughter, including myself!

After the bride and groom had greeted their evening guests, they cut their cake and went straight in to the first dance.

Here are some photographs from Hayley and Mark’s day:
